Crazy Busy... in a good way

Just a quick note to say... hi. lol.

Went to NY the last weekend of February. Had a blast, even though Matthias claims he had higher priorities than seeing myself.. haha... but still, I enjoyed my first time in NY... and came to the conclusion that it's just like any other city, with more traffic, more noise, and more people... *prepares to be slaughtered*... lol

And today, I'm taking off to FL... just finishing up somethings at the office before I leave... my plane takes off at 3:30 but I gotta be at the airport at 2... which means I need to leave here in about 2 hrs... at 12... which means since it's 10 right now... I should go finish packing...

Anyways...hope you guys have an awesome spring break. Will post pictures from NY when I get back... and of course, from FL.

hehe... here at work we have these big red stamps that say things like, "Media Mail" "First Class" and "Airmail" for outgoing mail. I was just thinking about how we needed one that had the word, "LOOSER" in big red letters... haha... sorry... I'm hatin' on myself for the mistakes I've made... but it is a kinda funny thought though... me walkin' around with the looser painted on my head. mreh. ok. it's not that funny. but it is amusing.

Superbowl XLI

And so I went to a Superbowl party last night. It was pretty awesome. lol. And yes,  I actually went to watch the game! I went with Jaime and Mark Perozo to watch the game at Izzy's brother in law's house. His wife had made dinner for us, we had picked up pizzas, and there were brownies and cinnasticks. And of course, there were plenty of drinks (to be translated as sodas... there was no alcohol involved ).

So, I didn't know which team to route for. My teams are (first and foremost) the Panthers (for obvious reasons) and the Raiders (because they're just awesome to watch play). So between the Colts and Bears... I had to choose based on who had the best looking uniform. lol. I know, I'm such a girl! haha... so the Colts won that toss-up. And not to mention, Mohammad had transferred from the Panthers to the Bears... he's a traitor. Traitors are just like cheaters, they never prosper. So since Mohammad was a jerk for transferring over, he cursed the Bears in my mind. Go COLTS! Besides, Peyton Manning is like the most awesome quaterback I've ever seen play.

Hehe... I must say, I made a very good choice. Though, at the beginning of the game, I wasn't so sure about that. The Bears receive the ball and take it all the way home for a touchdown. And I have never seen so many fumbles in any one football game. But the Colts did awesome. Wayne and Harrison were awesome as receivers. Rhodes did a great job running the ball. And as previously mentioned, the quarterback, Peyton Manning was like 10x better than Rex Grossman... man... hehe... Grossman sucked. But anyway... it was a good game.

As Deynar said, it's slightly... unforgivable to have Marianna and Ithi post and I don't. So this is to save face. lol. But it's good to see the crew posting again. It's just hard to keep up with Myspace & Xanga. But nothing is impossible right?

I came |this| close to starting college last night... the only thing that kept me from doing so is my out-of-state residency (which turns to in-state in June). 3 credit hrs with out of state tuition would cost me $750 while with in-state it would only be $250. That's $500 difference. I'll wait. Per usual.

Oh and GYC was just plain awesome. I'll have pictures online... soon... I think. :)

So how was everyone's Christmas and New Years? My New Years was uneventful... watched movies until 2 min before the ball fell, at which point we turned to the TV. hehe. Mreh. I'll do a more interesting post later.

Afterthought: I need to modify my background.

Happy New Year!

Wow... September was my last entry? Incredible. Or rather, terrible. I don't know. It just seems as though I'm not as much of a creative writer as I used to be... or at least it takes more effort. And I don't have near as much time as I used to since I've started working full-time. Hmm... but ya know, for the past two years, I've always done a walk down memory lane close to the New Year. It's interesting to go back and see where I was last year, and even the year before that (after all, I've used Xanga for 973 days. Wow! That's a big number. Maybe I should support Xanga by going premium!).

While in '04, I made a tribute to my "then" subscribers which were but a handful. That list has doubled and probably even tripled. So I will hold off on that. In '05 I did a reflection of the year as a whole. I think I'll do the same this year.

Perhaps I'm a bit early for a nostalgic trip... but if I don't do it now, I won't do it. I leave Sunday for Martinsville, VA to visit family. Head back home on Wednesday and on the very same day, meet up with Angela to go to Baltimore, MD for GYC.

But wow, I would ask where to start talking about this year, it's been so incredibly full, however, the only logical answer would be, at the beginning. So such I shall do.

GYC 2005 was coming to a close. New Year's Eve was Sat. night. haha. I remember it well. It was fun. I made a lot of new friends at the beginning of the year/ end of last year. And either I was having too much fun to make a New Year's resolution, or I've forgotten what it was. (However, after the New Year, I will make a note on my blog so that I'll remember next year's resolution.) So we brought in the New Year in Chattanooga, TN running down an insanely long bridge to catch the fireworks that turned out to only be about as big as the hole that you make if you connect your pointer finger to your thumb. Seriously. Haha. But, still. It was fun.

At the end of January, I took the SAT which wasn't really that hard, however, I didn't do as well on it as I would've liked. And as bad as it sounds, my SAT scores right now are of little consequence. When I took the SAT I had planned on going to a private university and therefore would need a rather large or, even better, a full scholarship. Now, my plans are to go to Germanna Community College and do my generals, and transfer out to UVA, which is nowhere close to the tuition I would've had to pay if I went to Union.

And finally, in February, I went snowboarding for the first time, with my Pathfinders. It was awesome! I was on my butt alot but I picked up snowboarding relatively easy. I haven't been back yet, but I do plan on going in Jan. when Massunutten has Monday night madness. It was awesome.

In March, I reconnected with a lot of my friends from Elementary school. It was a rather pleasant surprise. It's always interesting to see how you've changed, how they've changed. What path they've taken in life and then to learn what they thought of you years ago, compared to what they think now. Unfortunately though, since I've moved to VA, I haven't gotten to talk to them that much. However, that leaves another chance for another reunion. And I love reunions.

April was rather uneventful. I was still working with my Pathfinders, which was a completely awesome experience. I miss them all. And I was also playing Volleyball every Thursday night, it was fun. Since I've left NC I've gotten rather lazy. I think I'm going to join Gold's Gym next month.

In May, I was officially done with highschool. A rather bittersweet moment for me as I realized that I'd missed out on things like a highschool prom, a highschool sweetheart, and a highschool graduation. The time passed without anybody really acknowledging it except for a handful of friends here and there. Sweet though, because, I was actually finished with highschool. Also in May, we moved to Virginia (Hartland). It's definitely been an experience. I learned what type of treatment the former "academy kids" were referring to in regards of being treated by the staff. Rumors are awful things, especially if they're started by those that you're supposed to look up to and respect. Hypocrisy and judging are worse. But, I've also gotten a lot closer to my friends up here. It's been great.

June, of course, brings Piedmont, and Piedmont, of course, is just plain awesome! I worked for the first time as a counselor, a truly rewarding experience. Haha. I remember prior to this year, I never wanted to be a counselor, it was too much stress, and too much responsibility. However, I look back now and can't help but be grateful that Mr. Holtry kicked me out of the office and tested my faith. I got a bit disappointed with some of the other counselors as I saw their "different way" of relating (or in my opinion, not relating) to the campers. But, God works everything out. Campers were changed. Rather, lives (campers, counselors, staff, parents) were changed. Piedmont's always been a blessing. Ever since the day it was started (June 13,2002) when I was a camper.

July... I think it was July, when I went to Busch Gardens with Dale, Sandra, Jaime, Gian, and Joel. It was a blast. Too bad we didn't get pictures. But it was definitely a highlight of this year. Next year, I'm buying a season pass.

August... what happened in August.... hmm.. I started working. Alot of excitement stopped. People were back in school. People went back to work. The summer was over. However, rumors still flourished.

September... 'twas fun. Went ice skating. Fell so hard that the people in front of me heard my head hit the ice and turned around fully expecting my head to be cracked open and to see blood. God was merciful though. I swayed around for a little bit, had people help me get off the ice. Went back on twenty minutes later when I was approved by my three nurses. And had a killer headache for the rest of the night... wait, I take that back, for the next 3 days.

October. Bittersweet. As Joel said, I "slid into the weekend". Yeah, I wrecked my sister's car. It was by far, the worst experience in my life. The car was totaled. And for a few days after the wreck, I was mad at God. I would've rather it had been fatal, not only to the car, but to me. But again, God is good. He helped me through it. Those up here surrounding me knew that it was hard on me. But they helped me, they gave me emotional support, and I pulled through it. It was also the month of my birthday. I finally turned 18. Though it was anticlimatic. I always told my parents I was moving out the day I turned 18. Well, here I am, three months into my 18th year, and I still live at home, with my parents. This is the month that we went to VA beach as well. It was awesome. Good times. Something else interesting happened this month. But due to such a wide audience of subscribers, I can't say it. If it's any consolation, only two people know about it anyway.

November. More of work. Thanksgiving we went to Ohio and visited my newly born baby cousin. He's such a cutie. Spent time with grandparents and cousin.

December. Still in the midst of this month. So far it's only been work. Less than a week in the future though, I will be at GYC. I'm looking forward to that so much.

So now, I doubt if I will be updating again before the New Year so I wish you all not only a Merry Christmas, but also a Happy New Year. I hope that we have all learned alot from this year, and that we won't make the same mistakes again. And next year around this time, we will have more memories. More fun. More love. And more laughs.

May God bless you all.
